Job summary

The Physicians Centre in Bryan, TX is seeking an experienced perianesthesia nurse to direct and provide patient care in the Pre- and Post-operative settings. You will use the nursing process, supervise PACU staff when needed, and float as required by the daily surgical schedule, including rotating on-call duties.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 6 months; strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be current.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Experience in PACU, ambulatory or critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and provides professional perianesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
• Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) in Pre-Postoperative care.
• May serve as Charge nurse and supervise PACU/pre-operative staff as directed by the CNO.
• Willingness to float to other areas and take on-call rotations.
