Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Community Development Advisor to generate pre-need sales across the assigned market, including cemetery property, merchandise, services, and prearranged funeral plans.

You will build community relationships, set appointments, present preplanning guides, conduct park tours, and manage CRM activity to drive growth while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's not required; high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Actively builds relationships in the community to educate and guide families in their preplanning decisions.
• Excels at setting appointments, giving preplanning guide presentations, and product presentations.
• Provides professional park tours of each location within their area.
• Completes paperwork timely, neatly and accurately, including all contract requirements.
• Tracks all sales activity and ratios to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Uses CRM to track contacts and ensure professional follow-up.
• Contacts new and existing customers to discuss how products/services meet their needs.
• Prospects daily using methods like cold calling, door knocking, mailers, seminars, and events.
• Provides world class customer service with a positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes.
• Keeps current in veteran benefits, social security benefits, end of life decisions, etc.
• Builds relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice, senior living, and other groups; seminars scheduled per program.
• Works multiple prospecting avenues including web leads, seminars, park patrols, file reviews, direct mail.
