Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group seeks a Community Development Advisor in Houston, TX to educate families about pre-need planning for cemetery property, merchandise, and services. You will build trusted relationships with community organizations, schedule seminars, and guide families through personalized planning while delivering compassionate service.

You will travel locally, conduct tours, manage CRM records, and maintain timely paperwork. A driver’s license and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Satisfactory driving record.
Working knowledge of regulations related to cemetery and funeral profession.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage time independently and stay disciplined in daily prospecting.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice partners, and other local groups.
Schedule and conduct educational preplanning seminars per program.
Set appointments and guide families through personalized preplanning and product presentations.
Provide professional and welcoming park tours.
Prospect daily through multiple channels and track activity in CRM.
Schedule 10–12 qualified pre-need appointments weekly and maintain documentation.
