Job summary

Anderson Injury Lawyers is seeking a hands-on Pre-Litigation Team Manager to lead case managers and assistants. You will drive efficient progression from intake to settlement, uphold SOPs, and monitor KPIs while coaching the team to achieve high-quality outcomes.

You will also oversee hiring, onboarding, and training, and collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements as the caseload grows. This role is on-site in Austin, Texas, with a focus on operational excellence and client

Qualifications

• 3+ years in personal injury case management, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of the pre-litigation lifecycle: treatment, demand, negotiation, and disbursement.
• Experience with Filevine or comparable case management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of pre-litigation case teams (case managers and assistants).
• Monitor caseloads, aging, and file quality to identify bottlenecks.
• Set performance expectations and conduct regular reviews and coaching.
• Enforce SOPs for treatment monitoring, demand packages, lien resolution, and settlement handoff.
• Track KPIs and report team performance to leadership.
• Audit case files in Filevine to ensure accuracy and audit-readiness.
• Handle escalations from clients, providers, and internal teams.
• Help hire, onboard, and train new staff; identify process improvements.

About the Role

The Pre-Litigation Team Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our pre-litigation case teams — case managers and case manager assistants — ensuring cases move efficiently through treatment, demand preparation, and settlement. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands both the people side of management and the operational rigor required to run a high-volume pre-litigation caseload.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and develop a team of case managers and case manager assistants handling pre-litigation personal injury cases from intake through settlement


• Monitor caseloads, case aging, and file quality to identify bottlenecks and keep cases moving toward timely


• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular one-on-ones, coaching, and formal performance reviews


• Own and enforce standard operating procedures for treatment monitoring, demand packages, lien resolution, and settlement handoff


• Track team KPIs and report on team performance to firm leadership


• Use Filevine to audit case files, monitor task completion, and ensure documentation is accurate and audit-ready


• Handle escalations — client concerns, medical provider issues, and internal roadblocks — quickly and professionally


• Support hiring, onboarding, and training for new pre-litigation staff


• Help identify and roll out process improvements as the team and caseload grow

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in personal injury case management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role


• Strong working knowledge of the pre-litigation lifecycle: treatment, demand, negotiation, and disbursement


• Experience with Filevine or comparable case management software strongly preferred


• Proven ability to manage, coach, and hold a team accountable to performance standards


• Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload


• Clear, direct communication style — with clients, attorneys, and your team


• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in personal injury case management will be considered in lieu of a degree
