Smart Start of Mecklenburg County is seeking a MECK Pre-K Success Coach based in Charlotte, NC. The role partners with center administrators, MECK Pre-K Curriculum and Teacher Support Manager, and MECK Pre-K staff to ensure high-quality early childhood instruction aligned to CLASS, Creative Curriculum, and Teaching Strategies GOLD.

The position offers full-time exempt status with flexible, including remote work opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS in early childhood education or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• North Carolina Birth-Kindergarten (BK) or Pre-K Add-on Professional Teaching License; CLASS Pre-K Certification desired.
• Five years as a successful lead teacher in a Pre-K classroom using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD; 3–5 years in leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and leadership to MECK Pre-K teachers.
• Conduct CLASS observations and provide feedback to teachers and site staff.
• Coordinate and participate in professional development opportunities for MECK Pre-K staff.
• Assist with alignment of instruction to state and MECK Pre-K policies and guidelines.
• Maintain effective communication with families and partner agencies.
