Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Pre-K Assistant to support classroom teachers and help implement early childhood instruction in a busy elementary setting.

Under general supervision, you will assist with instructional activities, supervise students in various areas, and help prepare lesson materials while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDA credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Birth-Kindergarten or related field preferred.
• Working toward six documented semester hours per year toward degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction under teacher supervision and guidance.
• Supervise students in classrooms and common areas.
• Prepare lesson materials and displays for instruction.
• Assist with attendance and record-keeping obligations.
• Participate in bus and transportation duties as needed.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
