Job summary

Manchester Boys Club Inc. is seeking a Pre-K Director to create and lead the early childhood program for 4- and 5-year-olds at the JSYEC.

You will design curriculum, set policies, hire and supervise a small instructional team, and build strong ties with families and community partners. You will ensure compliance with state childcare regulations, manage program operations, and report outcomes to Club leadership and funders.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
• Experience leading early childhood education programs or curricula.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of early childhood educators and support staff.
• Monitor classroom environments and teacher performance to ensure high-quality experiences.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and assessments per licensing rules.
• Serve as the primary contact for families with intake meetings and ongoing communication.
• Develop and manage the program budget in coordination with Club leadership.
• Build partnerships with local school districts, childcare networks, and community orgs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing early childhood programs.
• Track program outcomes and prepare reports for leadership and funders.
• Respond to health, safety, or behavioral concerns involving enrolled children.
