Job summary

Manchester Boys Club Inc. is seeking a JSYEC Pre-K Associate Teacher to oversee and supervise children aged 4–5 in designated Pre‑K spaces. You will support daily activities, maintain a safe environment, and ensure children are engaged and supervised as directed by the Pre‑K Director.

The role is hands‑on, child‑facing, and focuses on implementation rather than program design or staff leadership, with duties aligning to licensing and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience with young children preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and fingerprinting.
• Ability to supervise and engage children aged 4–5.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Pre‑K children in assigned areas at all times.
• Implement daily activities and routines as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in licensed areas.
• Redirect behavior using positive guidance strategies.
• Support transitions including arrival, meals, and dismissal.
• Engage with children to support social‑emotional development.
• Communicate concerns or incidents to the Pre‑K Director promptly.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of materials and spaces.
• Maintain attendance and ensure all children are accounted for.
• Follow organizational policies and health and safety procedures.
• Support family drop‑off and pick‑up professionally.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
