Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester is seeking a JSYEC Pre-K Lead Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality early childhood instruction for ages 4–5. You will report to the Pre-K Director, design engaging lessons, and guide aides, while fostering growth in academic and social-emotional development.

This is a year-round, on-site role with flexible hours to align with program schedules, including summer programming and school breaks.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in ECE or related field; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 2 years lead teaching/head teacher experience in Pre-K or early childhood.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum frameworks.
• Experience with child observation and developmental assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum.
• Maintain a structured, nurturing classroom environment supporting development.
• Build warm relationships with children and families; communicate progress.
• Supervise and guide classroom aides and assistants.
• Maintain records, attendance, and lesson plans; participate in meetings.
