Job summary

Manchester Boys Club Inc. is seeking a Grade 4 Director to lead after-school and summer programming for 4th grade members, ensuring high-quality, age-appropriate activities aligned with our youth development approach.

You will supervise program staff, manage budgets, maintain safety and documentation, and collaborate with families and leadership to support member success in a dynamic community center setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in early childhood or elementary youth programming; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of engaging, age-appropriate programming for grades 4.
• Design program schedules balancing academic support, physical activity, leadership development, enrichment and social-emotional growth.
• Ensure programming aligns with BGCGM youth development approach and organizational goals.
• Oversee and support daily lesson plans and activity implementation by program staff.
• Develop and implement summer programming to meet developmental needs of upper elementary members.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful climate for youth development.
• Ensure members actively participate, feel supported, and receive care and guidance.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate part-time staff for Grade 4 Room and summer programming.
