Job summary

The Pre-K Director at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester will design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for 4- and 5-year-olds, hire and supervise a small instructional team, and ensure program operations comply with state childcare regulations.

You will build partnerships with families, schools, and licensing agencies, manage the program budget, monitor outcomes, and lead continuous program improvements to support the Club's mission of helping every young person reach

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
• Ability to participate in behavior management and curriculum development.
• Ability and willingness to mentor and support staff development.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising staff or teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-friendly approach.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young people, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in high-stress situations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must maintain active automobile insurance with liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of early childhood educators and support staff.
• Monitor classroom environments and teacher performance to ensure quality experiences.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and developmental assessments.
• Serve as primary contact for families, conducting intake meetings and conferences.
• Develop and manage the program budget in coordination with Club leadership.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local school districts and community organizations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing early childhood programs.
• Track program outcomes and prepare reports for leadership and funders.
• Respond to and resolve health, safety, and behavioral concerns involving enrolled children.
