Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment or have a Technical Certificate of Credit in Early Childhood Education in lieu of passing GACE.
• An associate degree or higher from a GaPSC-accredited institution is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with classroom organization, management, and instructional development.
• Prepare educational materials for students.
• Work individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines: distributing/collecting supplies, attendance, and instructional quality guidelines.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Prepare and maintain learning centers for instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.
