Job summary

ServingSchools seeks PreK education technicians to join Brunswick's Special Education Department for the 26-27 school year. Staff will support students with diverse needs, collaborate in teams, implement IEPs and behavior plans, and assist with transportation-related tasks as needed.

Roles may be in-person or virtual, with small group or 1:1 settings. Successful candidates will work closely with teachers and specialists to foster student development and growth, adapting to challenging behaviors

Qualifications

• 2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ed Tech Authorization through the Maine Department of Education.
• Maine Criminal History Records Check required by the Brunswick School Department.

Responsibilities

Brunswick's Special Education Department seeks preK ed. techs to join our school teams for the 26-27 school year. Students in our programs have a wide variety of academic, functional, and developmental needs that must be addressed in ways that foster student development and growth. Successful candidates will be able to closely collaborate with team members to manage students’ programs, demonstrate the creativity and flexibility necessary to support students’ challenging behaviors, support students in the regular and special education settings (virtual or in person) in small groups or 1:1, implement students’ IEPs and behavior plans, and support students’ unique needs as appropriate. Successful candidates will also provide support on Special Education transportation.
