Job summary

ServingSchools in Brunswick, ME seeks a functional life skills education tech to join our Special Education teams for the 26-27 school year. Students have diverse academic and behavioral needs; the ed tech will collaborate with teachers to implement IEPs and behavior plans, support students in small groups or 1:1, and assist with transportation.

Candidates should meet state requirements such as Ed Tech Authorization from the Maine Department of Education and a Maine Criminal History Records

Qualifications

• Requires collaboration with team members to manage students’ programs.
• Ability to support students in regular and special education settings (virtual or in person) in small groups or 1:1.
• Implement students’ IEPs and behavior plans.
• Support students’ unique needs as appropriate.
• Provide support on Special Education transportation.

Brunswick's Special Education Department seeks functional life skills ed. tech to join our school teams for the 26-27 school year. Students in our programs have a wide variety of academic, functional, and developmental needs that must be addressed in ways that foster student development and growth. Successful candidates will be able to closely collaborate with team members to manage students’ programs, demonstrate the creativity and flexibility necessary to support students’ challenging behaviors, support students in the regular and special education settings (virtual or in person) in small groups or 1:1, implement students’ IEPs and behavior plans, and support students’ unique needs as appropriate. Successful candidates will also provide support on Special Education transportation.
