Job summary

Brunswick School Department is seeking long-term substitute educational technicians to join the team for the 26-27 school year at Kate Furbish Elementary, Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary, and Brunswick High School. Responsibilities include collaborating with staff, supporting students in regular and special education settings, and implementing IEPs and behavior plans.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 60 college credits and must pass the Maine Criminal History Records Check.

Brunswick's Special Education Department seeks long term sub ed. techs to join our Brunswick School Department team. The roles are for the start of the 26-27 school year and will continue until determined otherwise. Students in our programs have a wide variety of academic, functional, and developmental needs that must be addressed in ways that foster student development and growth. Successful candidates will be able to closely collaborate with team members to manage students’ programs, demonstrate the creativity and flexibility necessary to support students’ challenging behaviors, support students in the regular and special education settings (virtual or in person) in small groups or 1:1, implement students’ IEPs and behavior plans, and support students’ unique needs as appropriate. Long term sub ed. tech. opportunities are available at Kate Furbish Elementary, Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary, and Brunswick High School.
