Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is hiring an Early Learning Teacher Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality early learning experiences for children aged 6 weeks through Pre-K. Under supervision, you will help implement curriculum goals, assist in daily activities, and engage families to support student development.

You will contribute to a safe, healthy classroom, participate in assessments, and coordinate with the Center Director to ensure compliance with Bright from the Start

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• At least 2 years of experience with children under five in a state-licensed center; NAEYC or Quality Rated experience a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR & 10-hour Health & Safety Orientation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high-quality early learning experiences across language, literacy, math, science.
• Support in implementing curriculum goals and activities aligned with standards.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment and supervise children.
• Complete required incident reports and participate in family communication.
