Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Teacher Assistant - Pre-Kindergarten (ESL) to support the teacher in a developmentally appropriate program for four-year-olds on our campus.

The role includes instructional support, maintaining a safe learning environment, and helping with daily schedules and parent communications. It also covers student transitions, classroom management, and clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment.
• Educational Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the teacher to provide instruction to individuals and small groups.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment conducive to learning.
• Maintain classroom management and implement daily schedule.
• Assist in communicating with parents.
• Escort children in transition within the room and school.
• Help children feel comfortable in the school environment.
• Record keeping and preparation of materials.
