Job summary

Learning Care Group in Michigan is seeking a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high-quality, play-based Pre-K classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.

In this role you’ll assist the Lead Teacher with daily lessons, observe and assess development, maintain a safe, organized space, build positive relationships with children and families, and participate in family engagement activities and required professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Or a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with a plan to complete an associate degree)
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Ability to meet state licensing and GSRP requirements
• Team player with a passion for early childhood education

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
• Assist in observing and assessing children’s development using approved tools
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and organized classroom
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Participate in family engagement activities, staff meetings, and required professional development
