Job summary

IES in Nashville, TN is seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Construction Coordinator to support project planning and execution. You will coordinate documentation, scheduling, submittals, and workflow across Estimating, Purchasing, PM, design teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure accurate records and readiness.

The role emphasizes data management, reporting, and process improvements, with a focus on confidentiality and professional client service.

Qualifications

2–4 years of pre-construction or project coordination experience.
Experience with construction documentation and project tracking systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
Strong organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Coordinate pre-construction activities and project setup across departments.
Maintain and organize project docs, plans, specs, contracts, submittals, and logs.
Assist with scheduling, milestones, bid coordination, and document management.
Coordinate communication between Pre-Construction, Estimating, Purchasing, PM, vendors, and internal teams.
Monitor submittals, RFIs, permits, approvals, and timelines for readiness.
Maintain accurate project data and updates in company systems.
Prepare reports, meeting notes, spreadsheets, and related documentation.
