Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners in New York seeks an experienced Pre-construction Estimator to oversee and assist in procurement, data analysis, and client relations for construction projects. The role focuses on preconstruction tasks, strategies, and proposal preparation to drive successful bids.

You will collaborate with GMCA, Inc. personnel, conduct market canvassing, and help assemble complete bid packages while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pre-construction Managers with procurement, setup and completion of tasks.
• Assist and participate in preconstruction training, scheduling and performance.
• Help create and execute strategies for new business development, marketing and client relationships.
• Help establish new client relationships.
• Maintain and positively influence existing client relationships.
• Procure and assemble documents, plans, specs; create proposals, bids, presentations.
• Participate in preconstruction strategies and proposals.
• Create clear scopes of work for subcontractor bids in GMCA proposals.
• Assist procurement, pre-qualification and vetting of subcontractors/vendors for GMCA.
• Maintain GMCA subcontractor database.
• Assist in competitive bidding, budgeting, forecasting, and client negotiations.
• Analyze project risks on a case-by-case basis.
• Create quantity takeoffs and quotations for bids.
• Learn estimating software, forms and procedures for estimates.
• Maintain estimating records; assist hand-off to Construction.
• Support Estimating with marketing materials.
• canvass market for new construction/renovation projects.
• Contact owners/architects/engineers to generate leads.
• Send marketing material to potential clients; follow up.
• Coordinate bid proposals and ensure forms are complete.
• Liaise on bid bonds, bonds and insurance for projects.
• Collaborate with estimators on project proposals.
• Document control of drawings, specs and amendments during bids.
• Review proposals for completeness.
