Responsibilities

• Assist pre-construction managers with information procurement and process setup.
• Assist in preconstruction training, work product, scheduling and performance.
• Contribute to strategies for new business development, marketing and client procurement.
• Help establish new client relationships.
• Maintain and enhance existing client relationships.
• Procure documents and assemble proposals, bids and presentations.
• Contribute to preconstruction strategies and proposals.
• Create clear scopes of work for subcontractor bids in GMCA proposals.
• Assist in subcontractor/vendor pre-qualification and vetting.
• Maintain GMCA subcontractor database.
• Assist in competitive bidding, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.
• Analyze project risk factors case-by-case.
• Create quantity takeoffs and quotes for bids.
• Develop understanding of the estimating software and procedures.
• Maintain estimating records; assist with hand-off to Construction.
• Support Estimating Dept in marketing material.
• Assist in canvassing for new construction/renovation projects.
• Contact owners, architects and engineers for leads.
• Create marketing material to potential clients; follow up as necessary.
• Coordinate bid proposals and ensure forms are completed.
• Liaise on bid bonds, bonds and insurance.
• Collaborate with estimators on proposals.
• Control documents during bid process.
• Review proposals for completeness.
