• Procure documents, plans and specs; assemble bids and client presentations.
• Contribute to preconstruction strategies and proposal formulations.
• Draft clear scopes of work for subcontractor bids.
• Assist in prequalification and vetting of subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain subcontractor database and vendor contacts.
• Support bidding, budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations.
• Analyze project risks and identify potential pitfalls.
• Create quantity takeoffs and prepare subcontractor quotations.
• Learn company estimating software and procedures.
• Maintain estimating records and aid hand-off to construction.
• Support marketing efforts with material creation.
• Canvass market for new construction and renovation projects.
