Job summary

MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of MYR Group, is hiring a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to lead the engineering effort for electrical substation, transmission and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding through closeout. The role requires coordinating design reviews, procurement, and field liaison activities to ensure successful project execution.

Candidates should have 7+ years in design/engineering/project management for electrical projects, a PE license, and experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management experience related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects
• PE license
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus
• Construction related experience or EPC project experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide from bidding to closeout
• Coordinate design reviews, construction support, and startup activities
• Manage engineering subcontractors and procurement activities
• Interface with vendors and support scheduling and commissioning
• Ensure on-time delivery of final as-built design documents
