Job summary

Brown University BioMed Research Administration seeks a Proposal Coordinator to provide administrative pre-award services to investigators across a broad portfolio of funded research grants and contracts. The role guides researchers through the application process to ensure high-quality proposals, submitted on schedule and in compliance with federal, state and institutional policies.

Under supervision of the Assistant Director, you will support investigators in preparing competitive proposals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years of related experience, preferably in research administration.
• Experience with proposal preparation with federal and non-federal grants is desired.
• Experience using grants management systems (e.g., Huron) is preferred.
• Familiarity with eRA Commons, Research.gov, Grants.gov and ProposalCentral is preferred.
• Experience working with grants in higher education or non-profit institutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative pre-award services to investigators across federal, state, industry and foundation-funded grants and contracts.
• Guide investigators through the proposal process to ensure high-quality proposals.
• Ensure proposals are submitted on schedule and adhere to regulations, policies and procedures.
