Job summary

Brown University seeks a Proposal Coordinator in its BioMed Research Administration division to provide administrative pre-award services for a broad range of grants. You will guide investigators through the application process, ensuring high-quality proposals and timely submissions while adhering to federal, state, and institutional rules.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of related experience, with preference for those familiar with federal and non-federal grants and grants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2-4 years of related experience, preferably in research administration.
• Experience with federal and non-federal grants is desired.
• Experience with grants management systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with eRA Commons, Research.gov, Grants.gov and ProposalCentral is preferred.
• Experience in higher education or non-profit grants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative pre-award services to investigators across a portfolio of grants and contracts.
• Guide investigators through the application process to ensure high-quality proposals.
• Ensure proposals are submitted on schedule and compliant with regulations.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to support funding efforts.
