Job summary

Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ is seeking a Pre-Authorization Representative to join our Patient Access Services team. Under general supervision, you will obtain pre-certifications for tests and therapies, gather necessary information from physician offices, and perform data entry for certifications.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with minimum 5 years’ related experience if no HS
• 1+ years insurance experience in a healthcare facility or physician's office preferred

• Ability to function independently and manage clerical tasks efficiently

Job Summary

Under general supervision, contacts insurance companies under representation of the physicians of the Medical Center. Obtain pre-certification for various testing and or therapy. Obtains necessary personal and medical information from Physician office on the patient for use in authorization. Performs computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to certification of patients.

Job Essentials

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
