HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Admission Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing. You will direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions, partnering with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate assessment, and effective communication with admissions, pharmacy, and other departments. A Florida RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or compact licensure; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in an acute care facility.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication; ability to read and follow instructions; PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions.
• Review transferring information and assimilate with assessment data to develop the plan of care.
• Coordinate admission processes with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities and departments.
• Evaluate all scheduled admissions for appropriateness.
• Make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers.
• Coordinate patient care and identified needs with other services across the hospital.
• Coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals.
