HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Admission Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing. You will direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions, partnering with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, accurate assessment, and effective communication with admissions, pharmacy, and other departments. A Florida RN license and BLS are required.

Competenze

• Florida RN license or compact licensure; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in an acute care facility.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication; ability to read and follow instructions; PC skills.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking an Admission Registered Nurse. You will direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions to our facility. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions.
• You will review transferring information from other facilities and assimilates that with assessment data to assist team members to develop the plan of care.
• You will act as a liaison with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities and other departments to facilitate a smooth admission process.
• You will evaluate all scheduled admissions for appropriateness.
• You will make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers.
• You will coordinate the patient's care and identified needs with other services and departments throughout the hospital.
• You will coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• One to two years’ experience with an acute care facility.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
