HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Admission Registered Nurse to direct and coordinate admissions and support a collaborative team. You will initiate the nursing component of interdisciplinary assessments and coordinate care to ensure smooth admissions.

The role requires Florida RN license, a Nursing Diploma/ASN, 1–2 years acute care experience, and BLS. Strong communication and critical thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions to the facility.
• Review transferring information and assimilate with assessment data to develop plan of care.
• Act as liaison with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions.
• Review transferring information from other facilities and assimilate with assessment data to develop the plan of care.
• Act as a liaison with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities and other departments to facilitate a smooth admission process.
• Evaluate all scheduled admissions for appropriateness.
• Make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers.
• Coordinate the patients care and identified needs with other services and departments throughout the hospital.
• Coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals.
