Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Manager, Practice Operations II for the OBGYN Chelmsford area. You will lead daily practice operations, oversee providers and staff, and drive efficient, high-quality patient care across locations.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staffing, policy implementation, and cross-department collaboration to improve performance, patient experience, and financial outcomes in a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two (2) years of healthcare management or practice management experience with physicians and staff.
• Five (5) years of healthcare management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily practice operations to ensure efficiency, patient flow, and satisfaction.
• Handle day-to-day personnel issues: hiring, evaluations, discipline, coaching, and onboarding.
• Monitor expenses, manage accounts payable, and approve expenditures.
• Lead monthly meetings with providers and staff to discuss policies and improvements.
• Collaborate with billing/finance on AR, denials trends, and improvement needs.
• Assist in annual practice budgeting and monitor budget vs. actual performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical competency thresholds.
• Promote cost-effective, high-quality patient care and optimize physician productivity.
• Serve as liaison between practices and hospital departments for smooth operations.
