Job summary

Vituity seeks a Hospital Medicine Practice Administrator to provide direct business operations support to medical directors and site partners. You will act as the operational interface to the hospital and community, ensuring smooth daily operations and financial processes.

Key responsibilities include managing site schedules, recruiting, credentialing, and coordinating with Revenue Cycle Management. A background in healthcare administration with strong Excel and HR knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in an office or healthcare setting.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in the healthcare field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology preferred.
  • Knowledge of general HR principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and County Agencies who regulate the Healthcare Industry preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
  • Strong consultation skills and the ability to seek out information.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed, motivated, and sensitive to deadlines.
  • Ability to express ideas and convey information effectively in verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the operational administrator for the site Vituity leadership and as the interface for the practice to the hospital and community.
  • Act as the front-line liaison for the provider team with hospital C-Suite, nursing leadership, nursing staff, and Vituity support team.
  • Provide executive support to the site medical director and site management team to meet contract expectations.
  • Provide support for all site financials to include contracts, stipends, reimbursements, and payroll timecards.
  • Act as the super user for all Vituity software applications and as a point person for hospital software and hardware systems.
  • Provide support for providers acting as a percipient witness in disputes including subpoenas, depositions and trial testimony as applicable.
  • Provide office management including meeting management, office systems, supplies, site events, and customer service.
  • Facilitate daily patient census and attend daily multi-disciplinary rounds.
  • Responsible for site clinical schedules to ensure adequate coverage for patient care.
  • Collect, track, and analyze all site financial and operational data.
  • Project management of site operational programs (Operations Meetings, Patient Experience, QI, etc.).
  • Ensure recruiting/onboarding for new providers and staff as well as locums/reservists/residents/students.
  • Ensure recredentialing timely for licensing and credentials.
  • Ensure compliance with training or requests.
  • Act as point person for HR relations including roster and legal compliance.
  • Develop and maintain site orientation checklists and manuals.
  • Collaborate with Medical Director on policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for medical records and data submission to Revenue Cycle Management.
