Job summary

Londonwide LMCs is recruiting a Practice Manager in Morgantown to oversee daily operations, ensure staff meet responsibilities, and manage budgets and IT systems within the NHS framework adapted for US practice. You will drive policy reviews, marketing, procurement, and compliance with contracts and governance bodies.

You will partner with clinicians and leadership to achieve performance targets, improve income and reduce costs while maintaining high patient care standards and staff engagement.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities
• Coordinating the reviewing and updating of all practice policies and procedures
• Marketing the practice appropriately
• Managing the procurement of practice equipment, supplies and services
• Ensuring the organisational requirements of the practice contracts with NHSE are fully met and complied with
• Supporting the partners to develop and implement processes to achieve clinical targets of QOF and enhanced services
• Directly contributing to profit improvement by exploring areas for increasing income and reducing costs.
• Development and control practice budgets and financial systems
• Overseeing the administration of the NHS Pension
• Liaising with the ICB and payment agencies regarding queries with payments relating to the contract, e.g. enhanced services, Telephone contract and off site storage etc.
• Strategic Planning: Keep abreast of current affairs and identify potential opportunities and threats
• Human Resources: Recruitment and selection of staff working, including contracts of employment and job descriptions
• Information Technology: Ensure the update and compliance of appropriate information governance systems
• Patient Services: Overall responsibility for patient care compliance and service delivery
• Premises and Equipment: Management of the building and contracts
• CQC: Compliance with Care Quality Commission regulations
• Risk Management: Monitor legal, statutory and contractual requirements
• Training & Education: Participate in training and development of staff
• Communication: Build relationships with NHSE, PCN, hospitals and other organisations
• Confidentiality: Maintain patient data privacy and security
• To represent the practice at meetings and support revalidation and professional requirements
