Job description

Job Title: Veterinary Practice Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $70,204 – $101,406 annually (specific rate determined based on experience, skill level, abilities, education, location, and schedule).

Posting duration: remains open for a minimum of two weeks from posting date.

Summary of Job Purpose and Function

In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Responsible for driving business results and leading people; develops associates and fosters an engaging team environment. Works with stakeholders across the organization to optimize growth and supports professional development through educational opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Interview, hire, and develop associates.
  • Evaluate hospital processes, progress, and productivity.
  • Train associates on educating clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
  • Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practices.
  • Budget and plan for the hospital.
  • Support daily operations and staff.
  • Schedule associates, coordinate time off, and manage continuing education needs.
Qualifications

Education/Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience: Three years of related experience required (health care, veterinary profession, service industry, etc.) with direct supervisory experience including hiring and associate development.
