Veterinary Practice Manager – Full‑Time

Pay range: $67,013 – $96,797 annually.

Job Overview

In partnership with the Chief of Staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can focus on delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Your practice‑management skills will drive business results, and your people‑leadership skills will develop associates and foster an engaging team environment. You will also ensure that clients and patients have a positive experience during hospital visits, optimize the growth of business partnerships, and grow your own professional path through educational opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Interview, hire, and develop associates.
  • Evaluate and improve hospital processes, progress, and productivity.
  • Educate associates on Banfield guidelines and practice standards.
  • Train associates to educate clients about optimal wellness plans and preventive care.
  • Plan and manage the hospital budget.
  • Support daily operations and staff.
  • Solve staff scheduling, manage time off, and coordinate continuing education.
  • Facilitate associate development, conflict management, and problem solving.
  • Lead the hospital in alignment with the Five Principles: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency, Freedom.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience acceptable.
  • Three years of related experience required (health care, veterinary profession, service industry, etc.) including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in conflict management and analytical decision making.
