Position: Veterinary Practice Manager

Employment Type: Full‑Time. Pay Range: $67,013 – $96,797 annually.

Overview

The Practice Manager partners with the Chief of Staff to oversee day‑to‑day operations in a Banfield hospital, ensuring the medical team can focus on delivering high‑quality veterinary care. The role blends business management, people leadership, and client service to contribute to hospital growth and enhance the patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and develop associate staff.
• Evaluate hospital processes, productivity, and compliance with Banfield guidelines.
• Plan and manage the hospital budget.
• Support daily operations and staff, including scheduling and coordinating time off.
• Oversee continuing education needs for associates.
• Train associates on Optimum Wellness Plans®, preventive care, and hospital services.
• Collaborate with veterinary medical team, field leadership, corporate headquarters, and (where applicable) PetSmart® associates to optimize business growth.
• Maintain a positive client and patient experience in partnership with the care team.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Required: Minimum of three years of related experience in healthcare, veterinary, or service industry, including direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A knack for problem solving and conflict management.
