Practice Manager – Vision Care Leader

Job summary

The EssilorLuxottica family seeks an experienced Practice Manager to lead our Clayton eyecare office. You will partner with doctors to ensure top-notch patient care, manage daily operations, and implement strategies to grow the practice and optimize resources.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory, and financial performance, while maintaining compliance with company policies and patient-first service. Weekend/evening shifts are required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 4+ years management/supervisory experience, preferably in eyecare/healthcare.
• Proven track record of delivering results and growth.
• Excellent business and financial acumen including operational analysis.
• Familiarity with technology, such as POS, patient record systems, and other software applications.
• Strong communicator and listener.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with managing and associate doctors to ensure the highest standard of patient care and workflow efficiency.
• Conveys a patient-centric approach through leading team performance, coaching, inspiring, and developing team members to deliver unsurpassed patient experiences, every time.
• Recruits and selects high caliber, success-oriented talent and creates a talent pipeline for succession.
• Monitors all aspects of practice operations, provides on-the-job training and support to team members in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
• Analyzes practice financial data and makes recommendations regarding next steps to optimize overall practice profitability.
• Controls profits and expenses for the store, through operational functions, sales and medical/vision insurance claim accuracy, labor, supply ordering, etc.
• Demonstrates deep understanding of eyecare business and patient care and has the capability to transfer knowledge to superior patient experiences and business results.
• Follows workforce management guidelines to optimally staff all practice hours of operation.
• Maintains inventory accuracy through proper inventory management procedures.
• Drives change management activities in the practice to include adoption of new technology, processes, and continued improvement.
• Ensures all Company approved safety programs are implemented and maintained.
• Works weekends and evenings in support of the business needs (varies by location).
• Adheres to attendance and daily time keeping requirements.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Consistently maintains proper dress code.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as business needs.
