Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Practice Manager for Developmental Pediatrics to lead both patient care and clerical operations, ensuring efficient, high‑quality service delivery.

The role partners with the Director to plan, direct and optimize daily operations, manage financial performance, and foster collaboration across staff, physicians and external partners to support exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Knowledge of third party payer regulations.
• Masters in Healthcare Administration or Bachelor's in Business/Management with at least 2 years of concurrent management experience in ambulatory/physician practice.
• At least three years of prior management experience in a business office and clinical setting is preferred.

Practice Manager- Developmental Pediatrics

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Developmental Pediatrics leadership team in the role of Practice Manager.

Accountable for directing and facilitating many aspects of management both for the patient care staff as well as for the clerical staff in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care. Assists the Director in planning, directing and overall operations within their areas of responsibility. Provides the day to day supervision in assigned patient services areas, financial management and facility adequacy of their assigned areas. Maintains optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, physicians, external customers and appropriate health system staff to ensure service delivery that exceeds the needs and expectations of customer bases towards service excellence.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Service Line Administrator

Direct Reports: 5-7

Key Relationships: Other Developmental Medicine Leadership, Division Chiefs, Outreach Sites

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Requires 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of Third party payer regulations.
• Prefer a Master's degree in Health Care Administration or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or health care related field with a minimum of 2 years of concurrent management experience within an ambulatory/physician practice setting.
• At least three years of prior experience in a business office and clinical setting with management experience is preferred.
