Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington is seeking a Practice Manager for the Urology service line. You will direct and supervise patient care and clerical staff, collaborate with physicians, and ensure efficient operations and quality care in a busy ambulatory setting.

The role reports to the Medical Group Administrative Director, supervises about 15 staff, and requires 5–7 years in a related field with a Bachelor's degree; a Master’s in Health Care Administration is preferred.

• Knowledge of Third party payer regulations.
• Master's degree in Health Care Administration or related business/health care field preferred with management experience.
• At least three years of prior management experience in a business office and clinical setting preferred.

Overview

Practice Manager- Urology

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Urology leadership team in the role of Practice Manager.

Accountable for directing and facilitating many aspects of management both for the patient care staff as well as for the clerical staff in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care. Assists the Director in planning, directing and overall operations within their areas of responsibility. Provides the day to day supervision in assigned patient services areas, financial management and facility adequacy of their assigned areas. Maintains optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, physicians, external customers and appropriate health system staff to ensure service delivery that exceeds the needs and expectations of customer bases towards service excellence.

This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift. Previous leadership and healthcare experience are preferred.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

• Requires 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Requires knowledge of Third party payer regulations.
• Prefer a Master's degree in Health Care Administration or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or health care related field with a minimum of 2 years of concurrent management experience within an ambulatory/physician practice setting.
• At least three years of prior experience in a business office and clinical setting with management experience is preferred.
