Job summary

WellStreet Urgent Care in Dearborn and Garden City, MI is seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations and ensure a high-quality patient care environment.

You will supervise administrative and clinical staff, manage budgets, drive center marketing initiatives, and align with senior operations to meet regulatory standards. Some travel to other centers may be required, with a focus on teamwork and service excellence that reflects the WellStreet mission.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership experience; open to other industries
  • Hospitality Industry and Retail Management experience welcome
  • Knowledge of healthcare business office, insurance operations, ICD-9 and CPT is helpful
  • Urgent care and occupational medicine experience is helpful but not required
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must be willing to travel to other WellStreet Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs

Responsibilities

  • Lead urgent care/occupational medicine center’s clinical and administrative teams to deliver consistent patient care excellence, exceptional customer service and operational effectiveness
  • Create and foster a working environment that fosters teammate engagement and aligns with the WellStreet core values and pursues the mission
  • Exercise fiscal and operational practices to meet or exceed annual budget and key performance indicators
  • Develop and communicate annual center vision and goals
  • Partner and collaborate with area clinical operations director to ensure clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows supports the WellStreet mission
  • Develop and manage monthly work schedules of administrative and clinical direct reports
  • Ensure clinical and administrative teams perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct timely annual performance evaluations and professional development coaching to direct reports
  • hire, manage and retain appropriate clinical and administrative staffing levels to meet patient care needs
  • Conduct progressive disciplinary action in accordance with WellStreet human resources policies and procedures
  • Assure appropriate levels of medical supplies and equipment are in inventory to meet patient care needs
  • partner and collaborate with the marketing and public relations department to develop center level marketing strategies
  • Support the WellStreet vision and mission through active leadership, innovation, collaboration and living the core values
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed/assigned

Corewell Health Urgent Care - Delivering Quality Care with Purpose

Our Practice Managers (PM) are responsible for managing the day-to-day operational activities required to assure a safe and effective patient care environment in the assigned center(s). They manage and direct the responsibilities of assigned administrative and clinical staff to ensure compliance with WellStreet policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Our Practice Managers manage annual budgets, develop and achieve desired performance goals, develop and implement center marketing strategies. They also partner and collaborate with Senior VP of Operations, District Managers and Regional Medical Directors for continuous, clinical excellence. Practice Managers help to establish and sustain an environment that supports WellStreet Urgent Cares mission and core values.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have at least 3 years of leadership experience; will consider exp from other industries
  • Open to Hospitality Industry and Retail Management experience
  • Helpful but not required - a working knowledge of healthcare business office, insurance operations, ICD-9 and CPT
  • Experience in urgent care and occupational medicine helpful, but not required
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Required to travel to other WellStreet Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs

Pay: Starting at $65,000 annually
