Job summary

University Hospitals Urgent Care by Wellstreet seeks a Practice Manager to lead clinical and administrative teams in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will ensure exceptional patient care, strong customer service, and operational effectiveness.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing, and regulatory compliance while promoting Wellstreet core values. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of healthcare leadership, occupational health exposure, and a coaching mindset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Experience in urgent care and occupational medicine preferred.
  • 1 year of marketing experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare business office, insurance operations, ICD-9 and CPT preferred, but not required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead urgent care and occupational medicine teams to deliver patient care excellence and strong customer service.
  • Exercise fiscal and operational practices to meet annual budget and KPIs.
  • Develop and communicate annual center vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with area clinical operations director to ensure standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and manage monthly work schedules for administrative and clinical staff.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and coaching for direct reports.
  • Hire and retain staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
  • Ensure inventory of medical supplies and equipment meets patient care needs.
  • Partner with marketing/PR to develop center marketing strategies.
  • Support the Wellstreet mission through leadership and collaboration.

University Hospitals Urgent Care by Wellstreet is looking for a talented Practice Manager.

Ideally, candidates should possess:

  • 5+ years of healthcare leadership experience
  • Occupational Health experience (preferred but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory/supply management, and P&L oversight
  • Proven success in team development and coaching
  • Exceptional customer service and patient experience focus
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, multi-provider healthcare environment
ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Lead urgent care/occupational medicine center’s clinical and administrative teams to deliver consistent patient care excellence, exceptional customer service and operational effectiveness
    create and foster a working environment that fosters teammate engagement and aligns with the Wellstreet core values and pursues the mission
  • Exercise fiscal and operational practices to meet or exceed annual budget and key performance indicators
  • Develop and communicate annual center vision and goals
  • Partner and collaborate with area clinical operations director to ensure clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows supports the Wellstreet mission
  • Develop and manage monthly work schedules of administrative and clinical direct reports
    ensure clinical and administrative teams perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with Wellstreet policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct timely annual performance evaluations and professional development coaching to direct reports
  • Hire, manage and retain appropriate clinical and administrative staffing levels to meet patient care needs
  • Conduct progressive disciplinary action in accordance with Wellstreet human resources policies and procedures
  • Assure appropriate levels of medical supplies and equipment are in inventory to meet patient care needs
  • Partner and collaborate with the marketing and public relations department to develop center level marketing strategies
  • Support the WellStreet vision and mission through active leadership, innovation, collaboration and living the core values
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have at least 3 years of leadership experience
  • Experience in urgent care and occupational medicine preferred
  • 1 year of marketing experience, in healthcare preferred
  • Working knowledge of healthcare business office, insurance operations, ICD-9 and CPT preferred, but not required
  • High School diploma or equivalent
