Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP is seeking a Practice Group Business Manager to support Practice Group Leaders in running the business and administration of one or more practice groups. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, controlling costs, and improving efficiency across the group, while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; JD preferred.
• Five or more years' experience in an operational, supervisory and/or management position in a professional office setting.
• Demonstrated experience in driving process and continuous improvements.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen time management to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the Firm.
• Previous experience in law firm management required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Practice Group Leader(s) and senior admin team; prepare for and conduct practice group meetings.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and implement actions to address needs of practice groups.
• Monitor and implement the practice group business plan.
• Partner with Finance to generate and analyze financial reports and briefings.
• Manage financial performance to drive revenue and profitability.
• Monitor workload and utilization to counsel attorneys on productivity.
