Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a national law firm, seeks a Practice Group Business Manager to support Practice Group Leader(s) and the Senior Director of Practice Services in driving profitable growth. The role focuses on business planning, profitability, and implementing firm-wide strategies at the practice level, while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Strong financial acumen required.
• Five+ years in an operational, supervisory or management role in a professional office.
• Previous law firm management experience.
• Experience with Insurance Services and/or Defense Litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with Practice Group Leader(s) and senior administrative teams.
• Proactively manage day-to-day operations and implement actions to address practice needs.
• Supervise and monitor the practice group business plan and financial performance.
• Gather and analyze economic data and monitor workload/utilization to identify productivity issues.
