Job summary

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP seeks a Practice Group Business Manager to support Practice Group Leaders in managing business and administration to drive growth and profitability. You will work with the Senior Director of Practice Services to deploy best practices, improve efficiency, and maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in operational management within a professional office, strong financial acumen, and proven experience in law firm management.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required.
• JD preferred.
• Five+ years in an operational, supervisory or management role in a professional office.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Practice Group Leader(s) and senior admin team; prepare for and conduct group meetings.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and implement actions to address group needs.
• Partner with Finance to analyze reports and summarize financial performance; manage growth in revenue and profitability.
• Monitor attorney workload and utilization; counsel attorneys to optimize productivity.
