Job summary

Jobtailor in Atlanta seeks an experienced operations/analyst professional to support daily practice group operations. You will partner with Practice Group Leaders to execute strategic priorities and business plans, monitor KPIs, and drive performance improvements.

The role includes budgeting, forecasting, and producing executive-level reports, plus coordinating initiatives, change management, and staffing optimization to enhance profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of designated practice groups.
• Partner with Practice Group Leaders and Senior Practice Directors to execute strategic priorities and business plans.
• Monitor KPIs and identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends impacting practice performance.
• Conduct operational assessments and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate practice-specific initiatives, special projects, technology adoption, and change management activities.
• Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and analyses.
• Attend practice group meetings, develop action plans, track follow-up activities, and ensure timely execution.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning.
• Monitor revenues, profitability, realization, utilization, leverage, collections, aged receivables, rates, and productivity.
• Analyze financial and operational performance against budgets, prior-year performance, and industry benchmarks.
• Identify profitability improvements through staffing optimization, workflow improvements, and resource allocation.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc practice performance reports.
• Provide competitive intelligence and market research.
• Monitor attorney and paraprofessional utilization and support staffing and workload management.
• Analyze trends related to productivity, retention, promotion, performance, and capacity.
• Support evaluation, promotion, compensation, and talent review processes.
• Identify professional development and succession planning needs.
• Collaborate on talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and performance management initiatives.
• Identify staffing gaps, capacity constraints, and resource allocation opportunities.
• Support attorney and paraprofessional recruiting initiatives.
• Support strategic growth initiatives through business analysis, market intelligence, and performance reporting.
• Monitor and report on strategic initiatives and business development activities.
• Support preparation of practice plans and progress reporting against strategic objectives.
• Report to a Senior Practice Director
