Job summary

Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, MA, seeks an experienced Practice Administrator to lead operational and strategic activities across primary care departments. You will ensure efficient clinic flow, strong financial management, and high-quality patient care through data-driven initiatives.

You will partner with Medical Directors and Nurse Managers, supervise administrative teams, and drive continuous improvement while aligning clinical operations with organizational goals and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent health care experience.
• Advanced degree such as MPH, MBA, MSM, MA or related certification preferred.
• 5–10 years in healthcare management; 2+ years leading large projects.
• Experience with primary care and community health centers preferred.
• Proven data extraction, reporting, and budgeting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for assigned primary care departments to ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and Nurse Managers to align operational strategy with clinical goals.
• Lead data-driven planning focused on access, productivity, and patient experience.
• Develop and monitor initiatives to improve workflow efficiency and outcomes.
• Monitor department financial performance against budget and report KPIs.
• Identify issues, propose actions, and document outcomes.
• Oversee staffing and scheduling to meet patient demand and business expectations.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and supporting system optimizations.
