About This Job
The Licensed Practical Nurse applies practical knowledge and employs specialized skills to facilitate efficient operations and to provide quality medical care to a student population, focusing on preventative maintenance and restorative care and employing evidence-based practice. Functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the Medical Clinics, consisting of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants. Should have a deep appreciation for a collaborative care model, partnering with Mental Health Service and Wellness and Health Promotion, and a commitment to advancing the divisional priorities of quality, communication, and inclusive design, while cultivating a working relationship with Our Lady of the Lake Health.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse.
