About the Role

We are seeking an LPN to join our team to help in our mission to connect the world to life-saving mental health treatment. This position is for those who are driven to help break down barriers to care and maximize clients' ability to receive the treatment they need and deserve.

The LPN will work under the supervision of the psychiatric RN and medical director to provide support to the treatment team by assisting with the Substance Use Disorder Program. The LPN will organize, coordinate and assist the medical director in the coordination of laboratory orders and results. This will also include tasks such as: outreach to the client, submission of medical records request, and communication between the primary therapy team and the medical director. The LPN must be able to gather relevant clinical information from the client and the electronic medical record to ensure accurate documentation. Other administrative tasks may include uploading forms into the electronic medical records, emailing, and faxing documents when necessary.

In addition, the LPN will also conduct client outreach for additional needs when requested by providers or the primary therapist.

Responsibilities:

  • File management
    • Enrolling clients into toxicology testing with vendor
    • Obtaining laboratory results
    • Communication of results with the treatment team
    • Organization of medical forms and required components
    • Ability to submit medical records requests
    • Navigate the EMR to obtain documented psychiatric history and currently prescribed medications.
    • Communicate effectively with the team and our client on the progress of tasks
  • Outreach
    • Conduct client outreach for when requested
    • Ability to respond to provider requests
    • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately to clients and family members
    • Ability to communicate identified client needs to providers when appropriate
    • Complete tasks/directive as assigned by the Psychiatric RN, nurse practitioner, or medical director

Requirements:

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficient in Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google Forms
  • Ability to function both independently and collaboratively in a totally remote environment
  • Experience in mental health or substance use disorder treatment
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and listening skills
  • Proactive self-starter and natural multitasker
  • Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox
  • Basic knowledge of commonly prescribed medications
  • Experience in commonly prescribed psychiatric diagnosis and medications prescribed
  • Licensed practical nurse licensed in a compact nursing state
