Job summary

Unity Recovery is seeking a Program Director for the Pregnancy & Parenting Recovery (PRR) program to lead peer recovery support services, supervise staff, and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring program quality and strong partner relationships in community settings.

The role emphasizes staff supervision, data reporting, and effective program development within Unity Recovery’s community-based framework, with a focus on recovery support services and youth engagement as applicable.

Qualifications

• Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Peer Specialist, or Certified Family Recovery Specialist with at least three years of experience working in community based recovery settings and at least one year of experience supervising peer staff.
• High degree of technological literacy or willingness to acquire these skills as part of employment.
• Background check may be required for staff working with youth, within criminal justice settings, or in other settings as determined by Executive Leadership.
• Reliable and insured personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work a minimum of four in person days per week as scheduled and maintain availability for at least one weekend day each week.
• Provide oversight and direct supervision of assigned recovery support programs and peer specialist staff.
• Facilitate daily shift debriefs, weekly individual supervision, and monthly group supervision as applicable.
• Provide peer based recovery support services as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with community, business, governmental, and referral partners.
• Manage program and activity schedules, staff schedules, data tracking, service engagement reports, and regular program communication.
• Implement and maintain Unity Recovery's Community Based Recovery Support Services programming.
• Monitor program performance, grant deliverables, service requirements, and reporting deadlines.
• Support other Unity Recovery programs and Program Directors as requested and applicable.
• Read and interpret financial and program reports and make service and programming recommendations to leadership.
• Conduct oneself ethically and adhere to applicable PCB codes of ethics.
• Follow and adhere to the Recovery Bill of Rights.

SUMMARY

The Pregnancy & Parenting Program Director provides direct leadership, supervision, and oversight of peer and community based recovery support programming and services delivered by Peer Recovery Support Specialists at Unity Recovery.

The PRR Program Director works under the guidance of Executive Leadership and applicable Recovery Support Services leadership to engage individuals who may benefit from community based recovery support services. Services may include direct peer recovery support, employment and vocational support, resource navigation, and group based social support.

The PRR Program Director serves as a role model, mentor, advocate, navigator, and motivator to peer staff and, when appropriate, individuals seeking or maintaining recovery. This position is responsible for the day to day management of assigned programs, including staff supervision, scheduling, program delivery, partner relationships, service quality, data tracking, reporting requirements, and program development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Recovery Specialist, Certified Peer Specialist, or Certified Family Recovery Specialist with at least three years of experience working in community based recovery settings and at least one year of experience supervising peer staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Recovery Specialist Supervisor or completion of Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor training.


• Experience managing recovery focused peer services in a community based setting, including supervising peer staff and maintaining community and business partnerships.


• Experience managing grant funded programs, including budgets, program deliverables, data collection, and required reporting.

DAILY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide and oversee recovery support throughout the recovery and re entry journey, including engagement, recovery initiation, stabilization, and sustained recovery.


2. Identify emergency or crisis situations and facilitate access to appropriate resources and systems.


3. Provide direct supervision of peer staff, including real time feedback, problem solving, accountability, coaching, and recommendations.


4. Support peer staff professional development through training and education related to ethics, recovery support services, resource navigation, documentation, and other relevant areas.


5. Lead collaboration and partnerships with community organizations and institutions to support effective service delivery.


6. Maintain accurate program logs, reports, records, and databases in accordance with program and grant requirements.


7. Maintain confidentiality and remain knowledgeable regarding applicable federal, state, and local confidentiality requirements.


8. Participate in continuing professional development and maintain applicable CRSS, CRS, CPS, CFRS, or supervisory credentials.


9. Complete other duties as directed by Executive Leadership.

COMPENSATION

$52,000 to $60,320 annual salary range. Benefits include optional health, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match after one year of service; unlimited PTO; and other benefits as designated by the organization.
