Job summary

Amentum's NVH & Dynamics Testing team in Dearborn is seeking a PS Test Engineer to lead powertrain NVH testing across exhaust, driveline, and axle systems. You will manage test delivery end-to-end—from requests and scheduling to data acquisition and post-processing—supporting ICE, HEV, and BEV programs.

Responsibilities include daily test plan leadership, CAD reviews for fixtures, dyno rig debugging, and delivering clear status to management.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering minimum; MS preferred.
• Mechanical vibration and system dynamics expertise.
• Proficiency with NVH data acquisition and signal processing.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting of ICE and electrified powertrains.
• Familiarity with ATI Vision and controlling powertrain operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily test plan management and execution.
• Interface with test request organizations from Propulsion NVH.
• Coordinate with lab operations staff to carry out test plans.
• Support test bill of material completeness and delivery.
• Participate in CAD reviews to verify test fixturing.
• Lead debugging of dyno rigs and ensure NVH data collection readiness.
• Document and report daily status and test delivery.
• Organize and manage lab test cell schedule and forecast.
• Support test infrastructure modernization and major capital projects.
• Prepare documentation for senior management reviews.
• Ensure safety/quality/environment requirements are met.
