Job summary

Harbinger Motors in Garden Grove, CA invites an engineering student to join our Powertrain Manufacturing team as an intern. You will assist in developing and manufacturing our Electric Drive Unit system, rotor, and stator, and help design tooling, document standards, and cross-functional process improvements.

The internship is 8 to 15 weeks (depending on academic term) with a required 4–5 days in-office per week and an hourly wage of $25–$35. Relocation stipend available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in a related field.
• Legal work status in the United States or visa eligibility (J-1/F-1).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and designing manufacturing standards, processes, equipment, and tooling for the Powertrain system.
• Support the documentation of work instructions and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues.
• Assist in design, testing and validation of new tools and equipment.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating findings.
